Nestal se v\u0161ak pilotem v Rud\u00e9 arm\u00e1d\u011b, jak si naivn\u011b myslel, skon\u010dil ve v\u011bzen\u00ed jako \u00fadajn\u00fd \u0161pi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Po p\u0159epaden\u00ed Sov\u011btsk\u00e9ho svazu N\u011bmeckem se do Brit\u00e1nie dostal po dramatick\u00e9 cest\u011b, p\u0159e\u017eil potopen\u00ed dvou k\u0159i\u017en\u00edk\u016f. V RAF nal\u00e9tal p\u0159es 800 hodin, provedl 281 ofenzivn\u00edch mis\u00ed. V roce 1944 se stal velitelem \u010deskoslovensk\u00e9ho st\u00edhac\u00edho k\u0159\u00eddla, v srpnu 1945 p\u0159ist\u00e1l v \u010dele jednotky v Praze.<\/p>\n<p>Po v\u00e1lce \u010delil perzekuci, \u010distky po roce 1948 p\u0159e\u017eil jen z\u00e1zrakem, kv\u016fli v\u00e1\u017en\u00e9mu onemocn\u011bn\u00ed \u2013 perforaci st\u0159ev, kter\u00e9 ale p\u0159ekonal. Pozd\u011bji vedl v\u00fdcvik zahrani\u010dn\u00edch pilot\u016f, mj. v Ugand\u011b, kde si z\u00edskal respekt i svobodu. Po roce 1971 pracoval jako pr\u016fvodce turist\u016f po Praze.
