V roce 1934 nastoupil prezen\u010dn\u00ed vojenskou slu\u017ebu v Josefov\u011b, kde absolvoval \u0161kolu d\u016fstojn\u00edk\u016f v z\u00e1loze, pot\u00e9 pokra\u010doval ve studiu na Vojensk\u00e9 akademii v Hranic\u00edch, kterou dokon\u010dil s kvalifikac\u00ed pilota a pozorovatele.<\/p>\n<p>Po okupaci \u010ceskoslovenska v roce 1939 ode\u0161el do Francie, kde se zapojil do boj\u016f v r\u00e1mci francouzsk\u00e9ho letectva. B\u011bhem bitvy o Francii dos\u00e1hl t\u0159\u00ed jist\u00fdch a jednoho pravd\u011bpodobn\u00e9ho sest\u0159elu. Po p\u00e1du Francie se stal \u010dlenem 310. (\u010deskoslovensk\u00e9) perut\u011b RAF. Pozd\u011bji byl p\u0159evelen k 19. peruti, byl tak prvn\u00edm \u010deskoslovensk\u00fdm letcem, kter\u00fd pilotoval legend\u00e1rn\u00ed Spitfire. B\u011bhem sv\u00e9ho p\u016fsoben\u00ed v RAF dos\u00e1hl celkem \u0161esti potvrzen\u00fdch sest\u0159el\u016f nep\u0159\u00e1telsk\u00fdch letadel. Stal se tedy st\u00edhac\u00edm esem (od 5 sest\u0159el\u016f v\u00fd\u0161e).<\/p>\n<p>V roce 1942 p\u0159evzal velen\u00ed 310. perut\u011b RAF, o rok pozd\u011bji se stal velitelem \u010deskoslovensk\u00e9ho st\u00edhac\u00edho k\u0159\u00eddla. V srpnu 1944 absolvoval Command and General Staff School v USA. Po skon\u010den\u00ed v\u00e1lky a n\u00e1vratu do \u010ceskoslovenska v kv\u011btnu 1945 p\u016fsobil na Ministerstvu n\u00e1rodn\u00ed obrany, bohu\u017eel velmi kr\u00e1tce.<\/p>\n<p>Dne 4. \u0159\u00edjna 1945 tragicky zahynul p\u0159i leteck\u00e9 nehod\u011b, nikoli jako pilot, ale jako pasa\u017e\u00e9r letu z Prahy do Zl\u00edna. P\u0159\u00ed\u010dina katastrofy nebyla zcela objasn\u011bna. V \u00favahu p\u0159ipad\u00e1 i mo\u017enost zna\u010dn\u011b paradoxn\u00ed, \u017ee se stroj z\u0159\u00edtil v d\u016fsledku sabot\u00e1\u017ee \u010desk\u00fdch d\u011bln\u00edk\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed tento typ letounu vyr\u00e1b\u011bli za v\u00e1lky pro N\u011bmecko.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Plk. i.m.
